Arsenal have been told they will need to break a British transfer record if they want to sign Aaron Ramsdale this summer as they also target Portuguese wonderkid Matchoi Djalo.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen in between the sticks to provide competition for Bernd Leno following the exit of Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa last summer.
And Sheffield United keeper Ramsdale has emerged as their number one target during the window with the Blades having already reportedly rejected two bids from the North London club.

“Not in a month of Sundays. No chance. You can pay £30 million for a goalkeeper. But £30 million is a bit too heavy. I don’t think we are going for Ramsdale. I don’t honestly think that.
“What makes me say this is that there are better keepers out there that are cheaper. I don’t think it’s real. I don’t think Arsenal will spend £30 million on him. Listen, I might be wrong.”

Arsenal are also looking to build for the future as they target Pacos de Ferreira winger Djalo within 24 hours of sealing a move for highly-rated striker Mika Biereth who left Fulham as a free agent after scoring 21 goals in 21 games last term.
The 18-year-old is available for around £1m as the Gunners weigh up making a move for the teenager, according to The Sun.
At the age of 16 years and 122 days, Djalo became the youngest player ever to play in Portugal’s top flight as he came on as a substitute against Benfica in August 2019.
Djalo has failed to kick on since then with only five appearances to his name for Pacos de Ferreira, but has caught the attention of the likes of Arteta with his impressive performances for Portugal U19s.
