The Ministry of Tourism is collaborating with the Astronomical Society of Oman to highlight scientific tourism during the 2019 annular solar eclipse phenomenon is scheduled to take place in the Sultanate. The Ministry of Tourism has entered into a partnership with the Astronomical Society of Oman, which has worked with various institutions including the Ministry of Foundations and Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, the Public Radio and Television Authority and the Photographic Society Oman, among others government and private institutions to record one of the rarest astronomical phenomena in the Oman sky later this year.
The Annular Eclipse 2019 project aims to hold an event where the phenomenon that will occur on the morning of December 26, 2019 (Thursday) can be observed. The national event is organized by the authorities as it is considered by residents as one of the most anticipated events this year.
