Manchester United stars Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial are training at Carrington instead of with the first-team after returning for pre-season.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the pair were left out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team squad to travel to Surrey this week as they are under medical supervision.
Solskjaer is leading a training camp at Pennyhill Park and the injured pair are set to link up with the main squad on Monday.
They will then have two days to impress to be involved in their second pre-season friendly against Brentford on Wednesday.
United faced Derby in their first friendly where they defeated club legend Wayne Rooney’s men 2-1.
Martial hasn’t played since he suffered a knee injury back in March and is building his fitness at Carrington.

The forward lost his place in the first team last term to Edinson Cavani after only scoring twice, both goals coming in the club’s 9-0 demolition of Southampton.
He is currently working alongside Van de Beek who withdrew from the Netherlands squad at Euro 2020 due to a groin injury.
The star is now working his way up to full fitness alongside Martial ahead of his second season in the Premier League.

Speaking after United’s match against Derby, Solskjaer said: “They’re [Martial and Van de Beek] not ready yet.
“They’ll probably be 100 per cent training with us a week on Monday. They’re still working hard to step into the group.
“Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba? It won’t be next week, no. The week after.” Fernandes and Pogba have had an extended break due to their duties at Euro 2020.

Van de Beek is said to want to fight for his place in the team after an underwhelming first season at United.
The star is just one year into his five-year deal and the Manchester Evening News reports that he will reject all offers from other clubs this summer.
He has discussed his lack of game time previously, saying in November: “I’m a patient person, but of course you go there to play as much as possible.
“I also think – in the minutes that I have made, in the times that I have come in – I have shown that I can add something to the team.”
When Van de Beek links up with the first team next week he will be able to have his chance to prove his worth.
