A pitch invader who collided with England cricketer Jonny Bairstow at the Oval hid in the toilet beforehand a court has heard.
The court was shown broadcast footage of Daniel Jarvis 34 hiding in a toilet before darting onto the field to bowl at Ollie Pope 24 on day two of the fourth Test against India in September 2021.
Jarvis, who has a YouTube account with more than 170000 subscribers is seen receiving a phone call tipping him off about the right time to go.
He was on Wednesday found guilty of aggravated trespass following his collision with the 32-year-old batsman.
At Croydon Magistrates’ Court District Judge Daniel Benjamin said: "The issue in the case is straightforward, namely whether he intended to disrupt the Test match."
He concluded this was Jarvis’s intention adding: "I find Mr Jarvis guilty of aggravated trespass."
